A book written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice has inspired the Addams Family Musical. Andrew Lippa has written and composed its songs. All its characters are based on the comic strip 'The Addams Family'.
The play is set in a haunted Addam's family house. Wednesday, an eighteen-year-old, has fallen in love with Lucas. She feels mixed emotions of her new love. Pugsley, the brother of Wednesday feels left out. He thinks that now his sister will devote more time to her boyfriend, which would leave no time for her to torture him. Gomez, Wednesday's father, is happy that his daughter has found love. On the night when Lucas comes to Addam's family home to have dinner with them, a lot of action takes place. There is a tiff between Lucas' parents as well as between Lucas and Wednesday. However, at the end of play, everything gets sorted out and all the couples are happy once more. Throughout the play, Gomez is sad to realize that his daughter has grown up and Morticia is seen worrying about her age and losing her importance in the family.Phelim McDermott and Julian Crouch have directed this play brilliantly. The music is superb. There are several songs like Clandango, Happy/Sad, and Let's Not Talk about Anything But Love. The performances of Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth are astounding. The narration by Kevin Chamberlin is good. Sergio Trujillo has choreographed the show well. Basil twist Puppetry not only makes the audience laugh but also scares them. Phantasmat is a worthy successor, containing the same strong adventure storyline and amazing graphics you would expect from a game with such a pedigree. This time, the story is set in a foreboding forest surrounding a cold and dark lake with a tragic history.Nathan Lane as GomezIn present times, Pune is now famous for its state-of-the-art educational facilities. It has over a hundred educational institutions and approximately nine universities scattered within the area. It boasts of a growing industrial land with several automotive and information technology companies that set factories in the area.The game begins as you are driving along a deserted road during a heavy downpour. Suddenly, ghostly apparitions appear on your windshield, causing you to lose control of the car. One car crash later (depicted in awesome animated glory), you find yourself stranded at the bottom of a ravine in a foreboding forest. As you head to a nearby hotel to use the phone to call for help, you find that there's something really wrong with the place. A cemetery by the lake, a submerged town IN the lake, and the hotel with a name like Drowned Dead Hotel isn't very reassuring either.The city is believed to have existed back in 937 AD as a small town. The leader of the Maratha Empire named Shivaji lived in this city when he was still a boy. During Shivaji�s reign, he foresaw the city�s significant development, and growth. In the early 18th century, this city became a significant political center and became the seat of the prime minister of the �Chhatrapati of Satara� and the Peshwa. After Pune was annexed to the British India in the 19th century, it served as the monsoon capital of the Presidency of Bombay and a cantonment town. The title as the �monsoon capital� continued until the India�s independence from the British.The popular museums of Pune include the Mahatma Phule Museum, Pune Tribal Museum, Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum, The National War Museum and the Babasaheb Ambedkar Museum. In addition, the city has various public gardens set in the area, like the Sambhaji Park, Peshwe Park, Kamala Nehru Park, Saras Baug, Shabu Udyan and the Empress Garden as well as the Bund Garden. The so-calld Pune-Okayama Friendship Garden is now renamed as �Pu La Deshpande Udyan,� a recreation spot of the Garden of Karakuen in Japan. Furthermore, the Rajiv Gahandi Zoological Park, situated at Katral, is just close to Pune. This particular zoo was earlier located at the Peshwe Park and was merged into an educational reptile park in 1999 at Katraj.Unfortunately, a great story won't work if it is not well implemented in a game. Luckily, Phantasmat boasts an elegant interface and features artwork that is truly stunning. The high quality of the artwork is similar to some of the best games in the genre such as the Mystery Case Files games, successfully bringing to life the cold, wet and dark feel of the story. There is also a lot of animation in the game, making it feel more "real". Everything from the many story cutscenes to the ambient effects like water ripples and scurrying insects are all animated to make the game come alive. The moody music, creepy sound effects and good voice acting also contribute to making the game a great entertainment package.CastCredentialsThe puzzles are pretty entertaining too. There are many different types of puzzles, including combination puzzles and the classic puzzle where you need to obtain 4 gallons of water using only a 5-gallon and a 3-gallon bottle. There are also puzzles that involve entire zones, such as having to navigate through the maze-like forest. As with other adventure games, you will also find items or clues that will help you solve puzzles that you previously encountered, requiring you to travel back and forth between zones.Phelim McDermott and Julian Crouch has directed and designed 'The Addams Family'.
